Welcome - to the website of the Arterian Choral Society. The Society was formed in 1970 to continue the adult section of the Kelvin Hall Choral Society established by Bill Arter in 1968. Bill Arter was a fine musician and teacher. In appreciation of the training, inspiration and enjoyment which he provided for so many, the members of the new society wished to link the choir permanently with his name.
The ethos of enjoying singing and learning continues. We are privileged in having as our Director of Music, Julian Savory B.Mus (see above); he has been our choir trainer and mentor for nearly 25 years. Julian is a popular local musician and teacher; he is the Director of Music at St. Mary's Parish Church, Cottingham and the Hull Male Voice Choir
New members - are welcomed whether or not they have previous experience in choral singing.
